Rose hill Cemetery Tour 2007
Reford Bond
1878-1954

Mr. Bond was a native of Johnsonville, Indian Territory, in the
Chickasaw Nation. He graduated in 1897 from the University of Missouri
Law School. After being admitted to the bar in Indian Territory he set
up a law practice in Chickasha and became the attorney for the Chickasaw
Nation. He represented the Chickasaws and Choctaw in litigation
involving more than 50 million dollars. Mr. Bond served on the state
Corporation Commission nearly 20 years. He was seeking a fourth term to
this important $9,000 a year job at the time of his death in 1954 at the
age of 76.
