Mrs. Clyde (Bessie) Becker devoted much of her life to the Girl Scouts of America and donated property at 224 S. 14th Street in Chickasha for their use.  This location served as the headquarters for the local Girl Scout Council for many years.   Mrs. Becker was named “Mother of the Year” for Oklahoma in 1954.
