The Chickasha Area Arts Council (CAAC) is very pleased to announce that Ballroom Dancing Classes will be offered to the community again this winter!

The two sessions will be held on Sat., Jan. 5 and 12, 2008 in the Grand Avenue School Cafetorium. Entrance is on the east circle drive of the school.

The classes will begin at 7:00 pm and end at 8:30.

David Hyer & Shelby Rothell, Oklahoma City, are returning to Chickasha to teach the classes. They will be demonstrating basic steps to three dances.

Hyer and Rothell are both professional competitors in American Style Ballroom Dancing and National and World champions. They began teaching dance classes for the Chickasha community in Jan. 2005 and have returned each year to lead more sessions.

Fees for the classes are $5 person/session for those with a 2007-08 CAAC membership, $5 person/session for high school and college students with a photo ID, and $10 person/session for all others.

Limited spaces are available, so register early! Pre-registration ends on Jan. 1, 2008.

Registration forms will soon be available on the CAAC website www.chickashaarts.org under 'Public Art Projects'.

Mail the registration form and check payment, made out to 'CAAC', to CAAC, PO Box 505, Chickasha, OK 73023-0505.

Sign up for the classes now so you will be ready for CAAC's 'Valentine's Dinner Dance'. It is scheduled for Sat. evening, Feb. 9, 2008 in the USAO Ballroom. Mr. Joe Settlemires and the USAO ShowBand will be providing the music and entertainment for the evening.
